Reception in Fiambala. Night stay at Hosteria.

Day 3

Fiambala-Hotel Cortaderas 3300m. 93km. 2h trip. Easy day traveling in vehicle to Hotel Cortaderas.

Day 4

Cortaderas-Vega el Cuerno 4100m. 35km on 4×4 road. 5h trip. Camping. Acclimatization trekking.

Day 5

Ascent Cerro Pequeño 8000 Laguna Fria 5200m

Day 6

Vega el Cuerno 4200m- Base Camp 5200m. Distance 30km. 4h trip on 4×4 sections.

Day 7

Rest day.

Day 8

Cerro Holmedo 6200m.

Day 9

Rest day.

Day 10

Carry to C1 and descents to BC.

Day 11

Rest day.

Day 12

Base Camp-High Camp 5960m.

Day 13

SUMMIT OJOS DEL SALADO

Day 14

Descent to Base Camp. Pack camp. Trip back to Cortaderas.

Extra Day.

GEAR

We highly recommend that ALL participants in our Ojos del Salado expeditions must have the mountain gear described below.

Upper body

    • Hat to protect from the sun
    • Wool or Polartec beanie

    • 2 long sleeve shirts, polypropylene or similar

SERVICES PROVIDED

    • Transport in the mountains by 4×4 vehicle full time. Maximum passenger capacity 5 including driver/mountain guide. Transport is from Fiambala round trip
    • High altitude mountain guide services
    • Base Camp dome. Chairs, table, light, cookware, etc.
    • 12v battery charger 4hs a day
    • 2 person tent for high camp
    • All meals provided during expedition excluding high camps. Water provided from snow
    • Night stay at Hotel Cortaderas, based in 4 person room
    • Two night stay at Fiambala Hosteria Municipal, based in 2 person room
    • SAT communication and tracker by DELORME Inreach 24hs a day

For us is so important a good quality diet that we combine sophisticated gourmet dishes with performance and energy. We know how much body energy is needed in the mountains and based on this, we design the meals for each day. While using a pressure cooker we ensure that all foods retains their properties. All our professional cookware allow us to cook without using oils and fats providing a much better digestion.

All food are fresh in our menu. Fruits and vegetables are provided for every day.

The meat is premium quality under trusted cold chain.

Meals are balanced between vegetarian and meat based food, high in calories and energy.

We prepare full vegetarian meals respecting each climber’s wishes.

VEGAN MEALS

 We respect and understand perfectly all vegans and we use different cookware and utensils to prevent contact with meat. Vegetables are provided each day. All types of legumes can be cooked in the pressure cooker ensuring a good protein diet

 We have experience manipulating  the kitchen and food by rigorous norms to avoid contaminating food with gluten..
