Day 1

Catamarca Airport arrival, transfer to Fiambala city. 5h drive.

Reception in Fiambala.

Night stay at Fiambala Hosteria Municipal 1500m.

Day 2

Fiambala-Hotel Cortaderas 3300m. 93km. 2h trip. Morning gear check, shopping. Easy day traveling in vehicle to Hotel Las Grutas.

Cortaderas-Vega el Cuerno 4100m. 35km on 4×4 road. 5h trip. Camping. Acclimatization trekking right before camp.

Ascent Cerro Pequeño 8000 Laguna Fria 5340m. 40 min. 4×4 drive to reach 4700m. Set up camp at Tamberia 4200

Day 6

Tamberia 4200m- Primeros Penitentes Camp 5200m. Distance 30km. 4h trip on 4×4 challenging sections.

Day 7

Acclimatization.

Rest Day.

Day 8

Ascent Cerro Olmedo 6200m. Trek to summit from Base Camp in the day

Day 9

Primeros Penitentes Camp 5200m-Ojos del Salado Base Camp 5500m. Move camp from Penitentes to Ojos del Salado BC. Easy day used as rest day. Prepare gear for Ojos del Salado ascent.

Day 10

Base Camp 5500m-C1 5900m. Porter to C1 and if everyone feels good we stay, otherwise back to Base Camp to rest.

Day 11

Base Camp-C1 5900m.

Ascent to C1 to sleep.

Day 12

Summit Ojos del Salado.

Día 13

Descent to Base Camp. Pack camp. Transport to Pissis Base Camp 4590m.

Day 14

Rest Day.

Day 15

Pissis Base Camp 4590m-C2 5790. If snow allow us we reach 5200m by vehicle, if not we walk 5h to glacier base were we set up camp.

Day 16

Summit Pissis 6788m. Descent to C2

Day 17

C2 5900m-Base camp4590m. Pack camp and back to Fiambala.

Hotel night stay

Day 18

Transport to Catamarca.

Fly back home.

SERVICES PROVIDED

    • Transport in the mountains by 4×4 vehicle full time. Maximum passenger capacity 5 including driver/mountain guide. Transport is from Catamarca-Fiambala round trip

    • Base Camp dome. Chairs, table, light, cookware, etc.

For us is so important a good quality diet that we combine sophisticated gourmet dishes with performance and energy. We know how much body energy is needed in the mountains and based on this, we design the meals for each day. While using a pressure cooker we ensure that all foods retains their properties. All our professional cookware allow us to cook without using oils and fats providing a much better digestion.

All food are fresh in our menu. Fruits and vegetables are provided for every day.

The meat is premium quality under trusted cold chain.

Meals are balanced between vegetarian and meat based food, high in calories and energy.

We prepare full vegetarian meals respecting each climber’s wishes.

VEGAN MEALS

 We respect and understand perfectly all vegans and we use different cookware and utensils to prevent contact with meat. Vegetables are provided each day. All types of legumes can be cooked in the pressure cooker ensuring a good protein diet
